Routing across DEXes
ElysiumSwap finds the best price for a trade across every DEX on Elysium, not just its own pools.
- Every pool type. Uniswap v2-, v3- and v4-style pools from any DEX on Elysium, including launchpad pools and DEXes launched later. The app finds pools from the chain itself, so a new DEX is included as soon as it has pools.
- Mixed routes. One trade can use pools from different DEXes, for example USDC → HYPE on one DEX and HYPE → a launchpad token on another, in a single transaction.
- Split across pools. A trade can be split across up to four paths that share no pool. For example, 60% through one DEX's pool and 40% through another, so no single thin pool sets your price. The split is sized in 10% steps, each step going where it pays the most.
- Best price wins. Every quote compares routes that stay inside ElysiumSwap with routes across all DEXes (direct, through HYPE or USDC, or both), and takes the one that pays you more after fees.
Fees
| Route | Fee |
|---|---|
| Only ElysiumSwap pools | the pools' own fees (Fees) |
| Uses another DEX's pools | the pools' own fees, plus a 0.1% routing fee |
The routing fee is already counted in the price you're shown. It goes to the ElysiumSwap treasury, which adds it to ElysiumSwap's own pools as liquidity. It's taken in HYPE or USDC when the trade pays out one of those, otherwise in the token you sell. The 0.1% is fixed in the router contract and can't be raised.
Cross-DEX routes are for selling an exact amount. When you ask for an exact amount out, the app routes through ElysiumSwap's own pools.
Safety
The routing contract, the ElysiumSwap Aggregator, never holds your funds between transactions.
- It only moves the tokens you sell in that transaction.
- It checks what each pool actually paid, and the trade reverts unless you receive at least your minimum. A broken or fake pool can make a trade fail, but it can't take your tokens.
- Other DEXes' pools are run by those DEXes. A token or pool there can have its own rules, such as a sell tax, and the price you're quoted already reflects them.
- If a route fails, the app stops using its outside pools for the rest of your visit and finds another route.
The aggregator can't be upgraded. Its owner can only change the address the routing fee is paid to. See Admin and security.
