WHYPE
Pools hold ERC-20 tokens, and HYPE (the gas token) isn't one. ElysiumSwap pools use WHYPE: HyperEVM's Wrapped HYPE (0x5555…5555), bridged to Elysium. It is always 1:1 with HYPE.

0xba876237b0f021a6c6d852d6c26e107997cc5e81 - Wrap: send HYPE, get the same amount of WHYPE. Unwrap: burn WHYPE, get the HYPE back. The swap page does both for you when you trade HYPE.
- The contract holds the HYPE that backs every WHYPE on Elysium.
- It's the same token the bridge issues for HyperEVM WHYPE, so WHYPE you bridge over can go straight into ElysiumSwap pools, and WHYPE from ElysiumSwap can be bridged back.
- Like every bridged token on Elysium, it's issued by the chain's token bridge, and the chain's operator can upgrade it. See Security.
